12th WIRE ASIA 2007
The 12th Wire Asia 2007 took place on 7-9 November at China World Trade Center in Beijing. This show is hosted by the China National Electric Equipment Corporation 、Beijing Wire & Cable Association and Hebei Wire & Cable Association; and produced by AIT Events Co., Ltd.，UK Mack Brooks Exhibitions Ltd.

In recent years, China's electric wire & cable industry has witnessed rapid development over the past years amid sustainable economic growth. It has gained a prominent position in the international market of this industry. Big varieties of cables, fasteners, springs and other wire products up to the international levels are put on display at this Event, which provides an opportunity for vendors and scientific researchers of the industry to conduct and strengthen mutual communication, and learn from each other.

Being the bi-annual premier event for the wire and cable industry, Wire Asia 2007 has been organized for its past twelfth consecutive years since 1982, which is a good chance for business and technical exchanges for both the international and local companies. Up to the 12th Event in 2007, Wire Asia 2007 has attracted the international exhibiting companies from over 12 countries (USA, Italy, Korea, Belgium, Singapore, Canada and China) and more than 120 exhibitors. Attendees are actively involved in wire making machinery and equipment、wire processing machinery and equipment、cable and rope marking machinery, materials and lubricants, wire, cables, rod and bar machinery and rod and bar for a broad range of markets.

In 2007, both trade fairs attracted 4,500 buyers and trade visitors. Approximately 35% of visitor hailed from outside China while the domestic accounted for almost 52% of visitors. This is a sign in itself that wire and cable industry players from these countries are keeping apace with leading-edge and cost-effective technologies to boost their manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness to better serve the market needs.
